Shires Ride Outs
Information on the Shires Ride-Outs we have scheduled for this year.
Ride-outs are subject to weather conditions on the day through out the route.
A Shires Ride-Out is a relaxed and fairly low-key event, anyone, is welcome and there's no charge
We do insist that you have
- A bike of at least 500cc
- A current valid Tax disk
- MOT certificate (if it needs one)
- Full bike licence and insurance - in other words you need to be legal.
- Some experience at overtaking and making good progress
Due to the mileage we cover, we would highly reccommended that you have some form of recovery (AA, RAC, etc).
We leave from the Derby office, free tea & coffee from 8.30, Ride-Out at 9.30 sharp.
Lunch will be arranged for about 1pm.

A Shires Advanced Instructor accompanies each Shires Ride-Out and whilst the aim of the day is to have fun and relax
you can even get advice on your riding if you'd like - or you can give us advice on ours!
(and by the way... no one's going to be wearing an Instructor's vest)
When riding in a group you do have to be more careful; we ask that you listen to and follow the
advice of the Shires Instructor on the day and the rules of Shires Ride-Outs.

If you have any suggestions or know any decent rideout routes, please go to the
forum and post your suggestion.
Anything within reason will be considered.
