Shires Motorcycle Training Ltd
|
|
|
Shires Motorcycle Training was established in 1990, where the training sites were in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.
In 2000, Shires became a Limited Company and the ownership changed, along with the sites used for training.
The Derby and Nottingham sites were still used together; however, the Leicester site was taken over by a different owner, although it still kept the same name.
On 1st November 2005 Paul Nunn became the new Managing Director.

- Roadcraft / Derbyshire Bike Plus
- Advanced (RoSPA or IAM)
|
We try to offer 'The Complete Motorcycling Experience' for successful trainees who have passed their tests, by encouraging them to join in with our group ride-outs, which allows them to develop new skills and gain experience along the way.
The ride-outs are also great for socialising and are educational whilst enjoying yourself!
- The group ride outs travel to various destinations within the UK (6 per year during summer months)
- Trips abroad to the Nurburg ring for track experiences is both exciting and enjoyable (May & August)
- A yearly trip to the Isle of Man for the TT is also a great experience not to be missed! (June)

|
Where is our future?
|
- Continue to develop the wider motorcycling experience, not just for those who want to pass their tests, but also for those who already have a motorcycle licence and want to further their knowledge
- Continue to provide the best possible training for each individual and maintain the equipment to a high standard in order to help trainees achieve their end goals, i.e. exchanging our fleet of bikes every so many months for brand new, reliable, up to date machines
- Continue to provide an environment where bikers can come and socialise, have a coffee, relax, ask any questions they may have and show us their new bikes!
- Expand the business further by providing training at one or two extra sites to the ones we already have
